Top Ten Reasons To Stop By Booth 34739 at NHS 2009!

The final countdown is on. In just about a week, we’ll be in Sin City at the National Hardware Show, and we hope to see you there. In fact, we want to see you so badly that we’ve come up with 10 compelling reasons to visit the SAG Booth (34739) at NHS 2009.

10. Have you ever seen a leather belt glued to a bowling ball? It’s quite a sight.

9. You can take your picture in front of our banner. People tend to like the big donkey banner (or maybe it’s the word Ass?) Either way, take as many photos as you’d like.

8. You have something you need glued. At every trade show we’ve attended, we’ve found multiple attendees needing a quick fix (broken glasses, cameras, shoes.) Stop on by and we’ll fix it right up for you.

7. You want to be on our mailing list, right? Stop by and have us scan your badge so we can keep you up to date on new products and projects.

6. At the risk of sounding like braggarts, we’re a pretty fun group. We promise lots of smiles, and probably a laugh or two.
5. We’ve got new products to show you. Sticky Jack Super Glue is our newest product, and we’d love to show you just how well it works!

4. It’s the patriotic thing to do. After all, we’re 100% American Made.

3. You’re already going to be in the Central Hall anyway, might as well mosey on over.

2. Did somebody say samples? Yes, we’ll have a limited supply there, so come to booth #34739 early to get yours!

1. We really, really, really want to meet you, and since we’re stuck at our booth all day, the only way we can do so, is if you stop by. Please?

See you in Vegas…

Record Heat Can’t Break Our Bonds

In our hometown of Pasadena, we’ve been hit with a heat wave. We’re talking record breaking temperatures for this time of year-nearing 100˚ F! While it may not be so hot in your neck of the woods, we couldn’t think of a better time to remind you that all SAG International Products will hold up, even under extreme heat.

Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue (our polyurethane glues) will both sustain temperatures of up 300˚ without weakening the bond. Sticky Jack Super Glue can stand the heat too, up to 200˚ F. And, we’re not meteorologists or anything, but we’re pretty sure that it never reaches 200˚ degrees outside anywhere. So, despite any heat wave you have, or have coming; rest assured that for all outdoor projects, SAG International bonds won’t melt.

Got a question on an outdoor project requiring glue? Shoot us a line at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll get right back to you.

Stay cool out there….

Your Question: Can I Use SAG Products on Rubber?

We recently received a question from a reader who wrote to us, wanting to know if SAG International, LLC Products would work on rubber. The answer is a resounding “YES!” All SAG products can be used to repair rubber.

But don’t just take it from us, here’s what Kevin Shannon of Los Angeles recently had to say about his experience using Sticky Ass Glue on rubber.

“I used Sticky Ass Glue to repair the sole of my basketball shoe. (The first day I wore them someone stepped on the heel and tore the leather upper from the sole). I have been playing basketball for two hours a week, (and wearing them in between) for over a year, and finally had to replace them because the soles wore down, but not because the SAG bond failed.

I also used Sticky Ass Glue to repair the weather stripping on the sliding door for my minivan, it’s been 6 months and so far the kids have not been able to pull it free again! (The dealer had fixed it twice in the preceding 6 months).”

We love hearing feedback from Sticky Ass Glue users, so if you’ve found a great use for any of our products, please drop us a line at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll share your tips here on www.TheGlueChronicles.com

You Asked….What’s The Deal With Fabric?

We’ve had a lot of questions lately asking about using Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue on craft or reupholstery projects involving fabrics. The most frequent question is: Can I use your glue on fabrics or cloth?

Unfortunately, we can’t be everything to everybody. The nature of our polyurethane glues causes them to harden (but this is also what makes our bonds “stubbornly strong”). With materials as soft as fabrics, using a polyurethane will not be your best bet, as you’ll be able to feel the bond beneath the cloth.

So, there you have it, we’ve ponied up (or should it be muled up?) Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue are incredible for bonding rubber, glass, tile, Formica, ceramic, brick, stone, PVC, plastic, and dozens of other solid substrates. So use them to bond together the frame of your project, but when it comes to reupholstering the couch cushions, better use a different glue.

Spring is In the Air….Time For Chair Repairs

Spring is in the air, Easter is around the bend, and sunny days will arrive soon. If you’re like us, we’ll once again be dusting off the patio furniture, prepping for bbq’s with friends and getting ready to host an Easter feast with family.

That means your guests need places to sit. However, as we know from readers, friends, SAG fans and personal experience, chairs break. (More often than they probably should, in fact). Whether it’s a wooden leg that goes wobbly, or an arm rest on patio chairs that falls completely off, or the bottom frame of a dining table that snaps clean in two; a broken chair is neither attractive, nor safe.

But who has the money these days to purchase new furniture? We sure don’t. But, luckily for us, we happen to make a product that will fix all of these nuisances easily and cheaply.

From wood, to metal, to plastic, Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue will make any broken chair in your home good as new, almost instantly. Plus, since our glues are paintable, sandable, and waterproof, they’ll repair both indoor and outdoor chairs.

So, make sure you add “Chair Repair” to your list of Spring Cleaning before hosting guests. And that means don’t forget to pick up a bottle of Stubbornly Strong Sticky Ass Glue!

Doing Our Best To Make Sure We’re Available For You

At SAG International, we’re working day and night to make our products available to you no matter where you live. But when you’re a small company with a tiny budget it’s challenging to make sure that our products are immediately available to everyone who wants them. That’s why we’re always so thankful when online stores and catalogs welcome SAG International products.

This week we want to let you know that we’re available through Starcrest of California®! This online and catalog company is offering our 4 oz bottles of Swift Setting Sticky Jack Glue.

Our big thanks to everyone at the Starcrest of California® for helping us make Sticky Jack Glue available to more people than ever. Visit www.starcrest.com
