You Asked….What’s The Deal With Fabric?

We’ve had a lot of questions lately asking about using Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue on craft or reupholstery projects involving fabrics. The most frequent question is: Can I use your glue on fabrics or cloth?

Unfortunately, we can’t be everything to everybody. The nature of our polyurethane glues causes them to harden (but this is also what makes our bonds “stubbornly strong”). With materials as soft as fabrics, using a polyurethane will not be your best bet, as you’ll be able to feel the bond beneath the cloth.

So, there you have it, we’ve ponied up (or should it be muled up?) Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue are incredible for bonding rubber, glass, tile, Formica, ceramic, brick, stone, PVC, plastic, and dozens of other solid substrates. So use them to bond together the frame of your project, but when it comes to reupholstering the couch cushions, better use a different glue.
