Sticky Ass H2N0 was first revealed to the public at the 2010 National Hardware Show and will soon be available to consumers and retailers online and in stores.

Sticky Ass H2N0 Sealant is a solvent-free, MS Polymer adhesive sealant that will seal and bond an extensive variety of materials including wood, metal, fiberglass, concrete, glass, and plastic. Because Sticky Ass H2N0 Sealant is mold and water resistant, as well as UV and weather resistant; this non-yellowing sealant is ideal for both indoor projects and outdoor projects.

But Sticky Ass H2N0 also boasts other benefits for users needing an adhesive sealant with incredible initial high tack. Virtually odorless, and completely color stable and paintable, Sticky Ass H2N0 is not a typical Silicone or Polyurethane sealant, making it a more eco-friendly sealant than competing sealants on the market. Sticky Ass H2N0 can also be used as a caulk.

Sticky Ass H2N0 is now available in standard 10.1 fluid ounce bottles. Like all SAG International, LLC, Sticky Ass H2N0 is proudly made in the U.S.A.

National Hardware Show 2010: Come Pay Us a Visit

It’s nearly our favorite time of year, again! The brand new product also boasts “Web Tech™” triple reinforced backing, ensuring the best tensile strength available. “At SAG, we are committed to making certain that all of our products, live up to our reputation for being the most stubbornly strong adhesives available,” says Ron Roth, co-founder of the California based company. “Sticky Ass Tape™ is no exception, and we’re proud that it bonds faster, stronger, and lasts longer than any duct tape on the market.”

To ensure that Sticky Ass Tape™ would be the strongest, longest lasting duct tape available, SAG International LLC, insisted that their tape be completely waterproof and weather proof for up to six months. As such Sticky Ass Tape’s™ top coat shell provides unmatched protection and flexibility in all types of weather, including extreme cold and extended sunlight.

Moreover, according to Roth “We wanted to make sure that Sticky Ass Tape™ would be a multi-use product. That means that it had to bond to the roughest and most diverse materials; particularly those materials that other tapes just won’t work on.” Amongst other materials, Sticky Ass Tape™ will securely bond metals, cements, bricks, stucco, rocks, fiberglass, plastics, wood, glass, asphalt, fabrics and more.

Like all SAG International, LLC products, Sticky Ass Tape™ is proudly and exclusively, made in the U.S.A.

Sticky Ass Tape™ will be available in retail outlets and online, in coming weeks. The entire segment can be seen here, though SAG doesn’t appear until about the 15 minute mark. http://www.diynetwork.com/videos/cool-tools-hardware-show-2009/46464.html

So check it out when you have a chance, and let us know what you think.
With Warm Holiday Wishes,
The Glue Crew
glue@stickyassglue.com

Halloween How To

It’s getting close to that magical time of year when goblins, ghosts and ghouls abound. Moreover, because leather is a porous substance, you don’t need to use any water with our glue in order to repair a missing button or buckle. Simply apply a little dab of Sticky Ass Glue or Sticky Jack Glue, and your items will be good as new, without any water damage.

Any questions on using SAG or SJG to repair leather items, please feel free to contact us at glue@stickyassglue.com. Here’s How To Clean It!

With polyurethane glues like Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue, unfortunately if the bottles aren’t closed tightly (read: all air removed) after use, the applicator/ or nozzle can become jammed as residual glue cures inside. But that’s no reason to throw out the glue. The remaining glue is perfectly fine to use. But, you will need to clean the cap. Luckily it’s easy as 1-2-3. Here’s how:

1. Twist open the nozzle/applicator. Then pop off the applicator by pulling it from the cap. Use a toothpick, paperclip or tiny nail to pop the hardened glue right out.

2. Unscrew the big cap. (In some instances you may need pliers, if the cap is on really tight). Check the top layer of the glue in the bottle. If it has hardened simply use a screwdriver to pull out the top layer of cured glue. You’ll find the remaining glue is just fine!

3. Get back to work, gluing away!

If you have any difficulties in cleaning the nozzle or underneath the cap, please don’t hesitate to shoot us an email at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll get right back to you!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://stickyassglue.blogspot.com/2009/07/clogged-cap-heres-how-to-clean-it.html' title='Clogged Cap? That’s how we like to describe our glue. SAG is really an amazing product. Of course you know by now that it’s 100% waterproof, and made right here in the USA. It also foams less than other polyurethanes, and can bond everything from ceramic to brick. That’s pretty amazing. Similarly, Sticky Jack Super Glue is amazing in its own right. Since we triple distilled it, SJSG produces a cleaner, more consistent bond every time you use it.

But you know what’s also amazing? Well, of course you do, or else you wouldn’t be here on the Glue Chronicles! So here goes nothing:

Did you know that if your boat, whether plastic, metal or fiberglass is punctured, or otherwise develops a small hole, you can fix that hole for less than ten bucks? Yes, you read right. Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue can be used to fill tiny cracks and holes in your boat. Granted, the glue may not dry to match the exact color, but for the price, you can’t beat this as a quick fix.

And of course, SAG and SJG are both 100% waterproof, so you won’t have to worry about the fill dissolving.

***We don’t recommend using SAG or SJG for holes or punctures bigger in diameter than a dime***

Questions on using our glue to plug a hole in your boat? We’re not talking about shoes with rubber soles. We’re talking about footwear made entirely or almost entirely from rubber. Like flip flops. Or, as have become the rage lately from kids aged 1-100; Crocs.

However, as fun as it is to chuck aside the leather for the summer, unfortunately rubber shoes seem more prone to ripping, breaking, or coming unglued (oh yeah, we went there!)

Lucky for you though, inside your tool chest (if it’s properly stocked, that is), you’ll find a quick fix for all of your rubber shoe repairs. Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue work amazingly well on repairing rubber. Plus, since they’re waterproof you can walk right back into the lake in your Crocs or flops, without weakening the bond.

So…keep having a great summer, all the while saving your pennies by rehabbing your rubber shoes.

Questions on repairs? And that’s what we tell our readers, who have inquired about the slight amber hue that Sticky Ass Glue has once it has dried. Unfortunately, the nature of polyurethane glues is to turn a slight shade of yellowish brown once it dries.

This is caused by the chemical composition of polyurethane, and to date the technology hasn’t been invented where we can maintain the integrity of the glue (read: the strength) and produce a clear dry. The polyurethanes that are available currently with a clear dry, will actually turn yellow over time, or after exposure to UV light (as, in from the sun). So to reduce the appearance of dried SAG, remember first and foremost that a little bit goes a long way.

Secondly, remember that you can sand any excess glue right off. Or, you can paint right over SAG, if there’s just a tiny bit showing. Thirdly, remember that our glue expands less than other polyurethanes on the market, so the amount of excess glue showing will be minimal compared with other glues.

Finally, keep in mind that for smaller projects, there’s our incredible Sticky Jack Super Glue, which has been triple distilled, and will dry clear. Not to mention, Sticky Jack Super Glue boasts our signature stubbornly strong bonding qualities!

Hope that “clears” up any questions. Well, actually it seems more like our wives and kids get ambitious for us. Whether it’s deciding to finally repair the split 2’ x 4’ in the corner of the deck, or caving in and finally making good on the promise to build the kids a skateboard ramp; the nice weather prevents us from procrastinating any longer.

But, we’re also not content to tackle wooden projects with just a few lousy nails. Nails rust, and tend to split the wood around them (and splinters are so NOT fun!) So we always make sure to fortify any bond with Sticky Ass Glue. SAG can strengthen any bond between two pieces of wood, and can even be used to fill in splits in wood around nail or screws.

So, if you find yourself feeling like a go-getter, who is ready to tackle some outdoor wooden repairs (or just can’t get away with putting them off any longer) make sure that you pick up a tube of SAG at your local hardware store first.

Besides, you’ll be amazed at how many other projects you’ll find it useful for.

Questions? We write to remind you while you’re plucking weeds, or planting seeds, should you come across cracked stone, brick or tile; you needn’t replace the broken pieces. Sticky Ass Glue or Sticky Jack Glue will make them good as new again, for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

The same goes for those Terra Cotta planters (which seem to break with astonishing regularity.) A dab of SAG of SJG (which are both waterproof) will fix those up in a jiffy. Moreover, any cracks in mosaic tile pots or fountains can be easily bonded within just hours.

So, before you head to the lawn or garden store for replacement landscaping accents, remember that one 4 oz bottle of SAG or SJG can save you a bundle, and help your lawn, patio, porch or deck look its best this summer.

For any questions on using SAG for landscaping repairs, drop us a line at glue@stickyassglue.com

It’s Official… Summer is Here!... And there’s no doubt that a bit of sunshine, a trip to the ball park, the lake or the beach might be just what we all need to kick the economic doldrums of the last several months. Until of course you go to retrieve the kids’ buckets, pails, and shovels and find some of them broken.

But wait! Last week alone we’ve had two, with multiple aftershocks. While none of them have caused much damage lately, it made us all realize that in our earth quake emergency kit, it would be useful to keep a bottle of Sticky Ass Glue.

That way, should frames be knocked loose from the walls, or our favorite bowling trophy takes a fall off the wall shelf, we’ll know exactly where to find the perfect fix it tool. If not, consider yourself lucky, as most glues will tend to do this. However, Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue aren’t most glues!

In fact, SAG and SJG work amazingly well on Styrofoam, (read: no eating away here!) making it a great addition to any crafter’s tool kit. (The fact that both are sandable and paintable doesn’t hurt either!) However, there’s another great use for SAG and SJG….

You know those model airplanes you see people flying around at the park? Well, most of them are made at least partly of Styrofoam. But, if you use the wrong glue, your model B-52, might just be a bust. So, the next time you buy your niece or nephew a model airplane for their birthday; make sure (in addition to batteries, of course) you throw in a bottle of Sticky Ass Glue. They’ll get a kick out of the name, and will be equipped to make that plane soar in no time.

Questions about Sticky Ass Glue? In just about a week, we’ll be in Sin City at the National Hardware Show, and we hope to see you there. In fact, we want to see you so badly that we’ve come up with 10 compelling reasons to visit the SAG Booth (34739) at NHS 2009.

10. Have you ever seen a leather belt glued to a bowling ball? It’s quite a sight.

9. You can take your picture in front of our banner. People tend to like the big donkey banner (or maybe it’s the word Ass?) Either way, take as many photos as you’d like.

8. You have something you need glued. At every trade show we’ve attended, we’ve found multiple attendees needing a quick fix (broken glasses, cameras, shoes.) Stop on by and we’ll fix it right up for you.

7. You want to be on our mailing list, right? Stop by and have us scan your badge so we can keep you up to date on new products and projects.

6. At the risk of sounding like braggarts, we’re a pretty fun group. We promise lots of smiles, and probably a laugh or two.
5. We’ve got new products to show you. Sticky Jack Super Glue is our newest product, and we’d love to show you just how well it works!

4. It’s the patriotic thing to do. After all, we’re 100% American Made.

3. You’re already going to be in the Central Hall anyway, might as well mosey on over.

2. Did somebody say samples? Yes, we’ll have a limited supply there, so come to booth #34739 early to get yours!

1. We really, really, really want to meet you, and since we’re stuck at our booth all day, the only way we can do so, is if you stop by. Please?

See you in Vegas…
The Glue Crew.

Record Heat Can’t Break Our Bonds

In our hometown of Pasadena, we’ve been hit with a heat wave. We’re talking record breaking temperatures for this time of year-nearing 100˚ F! While it may not be so hot in your neck of the woods, we couldn’t think of a better time to remind you that all SAG International Products will hold up, even under extreme heat.

Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue (our polyurethane glues) will both sustain temperatures of up 300˚ without weakening the bond. Sticky Jack Super Glue can stand the heat too, up to 200˚ F. And, we’re not meteorologists or anything, but we’re pretty sure that it never reaches 200˚ degrees outside anywhere. So, despite any heat wave you have, or have coming; rest assured that for all outdoor projects, SAG International bonds won’t melt.

Got a question on an outdoor project requiring glue? The answer is a resounding “YES!” All SAG products can be used to repair rubber.

But don’t just take it from us, here’s what Kevin Shannon of Los Angeles recently had to say about his experience using Sticky Ass Glue on rubber.

“I used Sticky Ass Glue to repair the sole of my basketball shoe. (The first day I wore them someone stepped on the heel and tore the leather upper from the sole). I have been playing basketball for two hours a week, (and wearing them in between) for over a year, and finally had to replace them because the soles wore down, but not because the SAG bond failed.

I also used Sticky Ass Glue to repair the weather stripping on the sliding door for my minivan, it’s been 6 months and so far the kids have not been able to pull it free again! (The dealer had fixed it twice in the preceding 6 months).”

We love hearing feedback from Sticky Ass Glue users, so if you’ve found a great use for any of our products, please drop us a line at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll share your tips here on www.TheGlueChronicles.com

You Asked….What’s The Deal With Fabric?

We’ve had a lot of questions lately asking about using Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue on craft or reupholstery projects involving fabrics. The most frequent question is: Can I use your glue on fabrics or cloth?

Unfortunately, we can’t be everything to everybody. The nature of our polyurethane glues causes them to harden (but this is also what makes our bonds “stubbornly strong”). With materials as soft as fabrics, using a polyurethane will not be your best bet, as you’ll be able to feel the bond beneath the cloth.

So, there you have it, we’ve ponied up (or should it be muled up?) Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue are incredible for bonding rubber, glass, tile, Formica, ceramic, brick, stone, PVC, plastic, and dozens of other solid substrates. So use them to bond together the frame of your project, but when it comes to reupholstering the couch cushions, better use a different glue.

Got a question? If you’re like us, we’ll once again be dusting off the patio furniture, prepping for bbq’s with friends and getting ready to host an Easter feast with family.

That means your guests need places to sit. However, as we know from readers, friends, SAG fans and personal experience, chairs break. (More often than they probably should, in fact). Whether it’s a wooden leg that goes wobbly, or an arm rest on patio chairs that falls completely off, or the bottom frame of a dining table that snaps clean in two; a broken chair is neither attractive, nor safe.

But who has the money these days to purchase new furniture? We sure don’t. But, luckily for us, we happen to make a product that will fix all of these nuisances easily and cheaply.

From wood, to metal, to plastic, Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue will make any broken chair in your home good as new, almost instantly. Plus, since our glues are paintable, sandable, and waterproof, they’ll repair both indoor and outdoor chairs.

So, make sure you add “Chair Repair” to your list of Spring Cleaning before hosting guests. And that means don’t forget to pick up a bottle of Stubbornly Strong Sticky Ass Glue!

For tips on how to repairing furniture, drop us a line at glue@stickyassglue.com

Doing Our Best To Make Sure We’re Available For You

At SAG International, we’re working day and night to make our products available to you no matter where you live. So, with no further ado, we present our Top 10 Reasons To Add Sticky Jack Super Glue To Your Tool Box.

10. Life happens. Things break. Those things need to be repaired.

9. Sticky Jack Super Glue is triple distilled, so all impurities have been removed. (This is good for a consistent bond every time you use it.)

8. Sticky Jack Super Glue sets up instantly. No waiting around for the glue to dry.

7. A 10 gram bottle of Sticky Jack Super Glue, will last you at least a year. (Unless you’re really, really clumsy, or unlucky, or both!)

6. Sticky Jack Super Glue is less expensive than other super glues on the market. (Who isn’t watching their pennies these days?)

5. Sticky Jack Super Glue, like all SAG International products, is proudly made in the U.S.A.

4. Sticky Jack Super Glue, is safe for use indoors, outdoors and around children (please just don’t let them or your pets eat it!)

3. Sticky Jack Super Glue dries clear. (Need to fix those eye glass stems? You won’t see the bond.)

2. Sticky Jack Super Glue works on countless materials with superior strength. (We’re talking tile, ceramic, Formica, porcelain, rubber, you name it.)

And the number one reason to add Sticky Jack Super Glue to Your Tool Box?

1. Gotta love the fact that we’re creating jobs here in the U.S. and not outsourcing overseas.

8. SAG is waterproof. With Spring on horizon, our glue holds just as strong outdoors in the rain as on indoor projects.

7. Speaking of indoor projects, did we mention how low in odor SAG is? Unlike other glues which can produce really strong (and even headache inducing) smells, SAG doesn’t.

6. SAG works on just about every substrate (material) available. Barring fabrics and paper, SAG will securely bond plastic, brick, tile, glass, and so on.

5. SAG is paintable and sandable. Excess glue can easily be sanded off or painted over without weakening the bond.

4. SAG sets up quickly. In less than an hour, the bond will have set.

3. SAG is easy to use. Apply. Stick Items Together. Call it a day.

2. SAG is easy to remove from your hands, should you get in on them during your repairing. Simply take a bit of soap and water, and it’ll come right off.

We’ve said it before, but, the best reason to keep a bottle of SAG handy is….

1. We’re stubbornly strong!

Did we leave anything out? We’ve decreased the set time for Sticky Ass Glue! Yep, our most popular product, the original Sticky Ass Glue, now sets faster than ever. Just like Sticky Jack Glue, we’ve been able to decrease the set time of Sticky Ass Glue so that it sets in just 30-60 minutes!

That means that you can start your craft, repair or DIY project, cook dinner and by the time you’re back, the SAG bond will have set. (Of course, we do remind you that it takes a full 24 hours for Sticky Ass Glue to fully cure, but it will now set in under an hour).

So take your pick, both Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue now boast the title of being the “Swift Setting” polyurethane glue. We’ll just let you decide which name you prefer.

Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue: You won’t need a kick upside the head to know these swift setting, stubbornly strong, 100% waterproof, and 100% American Made adhesives are the best Polyurethane Glues under the stars.

Questions for using SAG or SJG? Yes, we did officially change our name from Sticky Ass Glue, LLC to SAG International, LLC. But there’s no sneaky reason for our change. No, we didn’t hire outside investors to come in and they made us change our name. We didn’t conduct any focus group that revealed that people preferred “SAG” over “Sticky Ass Glue”.

We changed our name for one reason only. We may be a little company now, but we’ve got big dreams, and big plans! These plans include expanding our reach in the near future to include international clients (whom we’ve had a lot of interest from). So, we thought it prudent to add International to our name, and frankly Sticky Ass Glue International, LLC was a bit of a mouthful. So we condensed it, all the while keeping our eye on our expansion plans.

And there you have it. SAG International LLC (aka Sticky Ass Glue, LLC) will forever remain a product that is proudly made in the U.S.A, no matter how big our dreams, or how far our products reach!

As always feel free to drop us a line with any questions at glue@stickyassglue.com

Hello CHA Friends!

We just wanted to say THANK YOU for visiting our booth last week at the 2009 CHA Show!

Hopefully, you will be able to try your samples of Sticky Ass Glue or Sticky Jack Glue on one of your projects very soon. Sorry to have gone silent for a while, but I have a good excuse! On Christmas Night, wouldn’t you know I slipped, tripped and fell over (no, not my son’s skateboard, but my own!), breaking my leg!!! Can’t blame the boy on that one!

While I tried valiantly to give my ER doctor a bottle of Sticky Ass Glue and tell him to stick my leg back together, he wasn’t going for it. Two days, one surgery, one steel plate, and seven screws later, I’m back! (Although I’m still not convinced that SAG wouldn’t have done the trick just as well. Sigh. At least if my crutches should break, I’ll be able to fix those on my own).

So I apologize for the lack of news lately, but since I’m pretty laid up for the next six weeks, I promise to get back to business with regular updates.

In the meantime, don’t forget, we’ll be making our second appearance at the CHA show in Anaheim January 25-28, so please be sure to swing by booth #5023 if you’re planning to attend.

Till next time…watch out for skateboards!!!

Ron

Winter Weather Can’t Break Our Bonds

With the Northeast reeling from snow and ice storms, and rain drenching us here in California, we wanted to remind you that even the most extreme weather won’t weaken the bonds of Sticky Ass Glue or Sticky Jack Glue.

The bonds that you’ve created using SAG on outdoor items will stand up to:

Freezing Temps: Down to -20F

Rain, Sleet, Snow: SAG and SJG are both 100% waterproof

Wind: Come On, We’re Stubbornly Strong!

So, rest assured that even though the elements may be getting a little more extreme, they are no match for the bonding strength of Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue.

As always feel free to email us with any questions. And if you didn’t already get the Xmas tree this weekend, untangle the cords of the exterior lights, or pull out the dradle, you’ll undoubtedly be doing it soon.

But as so often happens with our families, as soon as we open the holiday decoration boxes there is inevitably a broken ornament, a decoration that’s come apart, or other keepsake that’s been smashed.

That’s why we strongly suggest you have a bottle of Stubbornly Strong Sticky Ass Glue on hand when you start your holiday decorating. Here are just a few items that SAG will fix, so you don’t have to toss out any of your family’s memories:

• Holiday plates, serving platters, cookie jars, mugs
• Pine cone decorations
• Handmade ornaments (glass, wood, clay, ceramic, etc)
• Candle Holders
• Lawn decorations
• Broken Tree Stand (SAG is 100% waterproof, remember?)
• Etc., etc.

So, don’t go throwing out perfectly salvageable holiday trinkets, when they’ll be good as new in no time by using just a little dab of SAG or Sticky Jack Glue!

For questions on repairing any holiday items, shoot us an email at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll get right back to you.

Giving Thanks…To You!

We really couldn’t come up with a better time than Thanksgiving to let you know how thankful and grateful we are for you! While driving over the holiday weekend is always a bit of a nuisance, it can be made a lot more pleasant if your car is fully functional.

Consider that broken cup holder in the backseat. Wouldn’t it be nice if your five year old could use it instead of having to hold their juice the entire way to Grandma’s? A dab of Sticky Ass Glue or Sticky Jack Glue will fix it in a jiffy. Likewise cracks in your dash board can easily be sealed up, as can broken trunk compartments. And because SAG and STJ are 100% waterproof, you can even quickly repair the side view mirror that you cracked when you clipped the garage-oops!

For tips on how to repair any loose or broken car parts (not the engine, mind you!) buzz us at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll get right back to you.

Happy Traveling!!!

Check Out The News On Our Site!

A few weeks ago, we told you that the Sticky Ass Glue word continues to spread. After all, the last thing we need in this economy are soaring heating bills. So when you’re looking for ways to winterize your home, remember that Sticky Ass Glue works on countless materials.

Rubber: Got loose weather stripping on sliding glass doors? SAG will securely bond the rubber back to the metal frame (or even the glass itself).

Bricks: Loose bricks in your home’s foundation can let cold air in. Sticky Ass Glue will set up in 24 hours, sealing gaps in brick.

Wood: Have a loose window frame? Don’t let the hot air out, when you can quickly and easily glue the frame back into its place so as not to waste energy.

When every little bit of savings, counts, remember you can save energy and therefore your pennies by winterizing your home yourself with just a little Sticky Ass Glue.

Got a question about what materials SAG works on? Hey, we’re allowed to dream right?

Although we can’t repair the economy, we can help you watch your pennies, when it comes to fixing items around your house, as a little bit of Sticky Ass Glue goes a long way. I’ve used it on 25 different projects and still have over ¾ of the bottle.”

In these lean economic times, remember that Sticky Ass Glue provides a big bang for your buck, making a whole lot of cents for thousands of home repairs.

Have a home repair you need help fixing? Driving around we’ve noticed:

• Loose roof shingles

• Loose aluminum siding

• Wobbly mailboxes (whether they are loose on the post or coming off from the side of the home.)

• Bent or Broken fence posts

• Cracked Flower Pots

• Loose Address Numbers adorning the side of the house.

Luckily though, all of these items can be easily repaired with just a bit of Sticky Ass Glue. Plus, since Sticky Ass Glue is 100% waterproof, you won’t have to worry about the glue weakening in the rain, sleet or snow. So, before you worry about hiring a contractor to help you repair these items (and before you throw away broken items) give Sticky Ass Glue a shot. But stores started putting up Halloween displays in August, so we make no apologies for putting up our “display” here just a month ahead of time.

First, we encourage you to think of the safety of the little ones who will be coming to your door begging for a treat (wearing costumes they’re not used to, naturally). Do you have any loose bricks, tile, slate, or even concrete leading to your door? Give the little ones a fighting chance to stay on their toes, by repairing loose steps or walkways. Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue, will securely bond all outdoor materials within just 24 hours.

Also, keep in mind that SAG and SJG are great for crafting and creating your own Halloween decorations and crafts. SAG and SJG will work on plastic (for that skeleton you’re dying to put in your front yard), wood (for the faux tombstones accompanying the skeleton), Styrofoam (without eating away at it so the eyeballs stay put on your homemade Cookie Monster costume) and thick paper (or card stock) for your custom Halloween party invitations. However, if you’re working on projects with children, we’d prefer if you’d handle the gluing part of things.

Here’s to a happy and safe Halloween,

The Glue Crew

Got an idea for a Halloween project that you’d like to get our input on? What’s the difference between Sticky Ass Glue and Sticky Jack Glue?

Sticky Jack Glue boasts a faster set time. We were able to tweak our formula just a bit, so the set time (clamping time) has been reduced to less than an hour! (Sometimes, as virtuous as patience is, we know you just need to hustle!) That’s why we created SJG; to help all you DIY’ers who need to get a project done ASAP, such as:

• Repairing your spouse’s favorite coffee mug (that you broke the handle off while trying to yank it from the dishwasher).
• Fixing your little one’s toy truck (which you accidentally stepped on while half asleep trying to stumble your way to the coffeemaker at the crack of dawn).
• Repairing that broken shower tile (that just had to break the day you have house guests coming to visit).
• Fixing unsightly broken fence poles (before your in laws get there for dinner).

Questions? This isn’t the case with Sticky Ass Glue! In fact, using water is completely optional, except for projects involving plastics or metal, as these non-porous materials carry very little moisture, and SAG requires a bit of moisture to fully cure. For all other projects, moisture from the air, or contained within the materials themselves, will provide the moisture that SAG needs to cure. So, put down the watering can, and the hose. While a super glue may be a great fix for a small repair (such as a quick repair on a porcelain figurine, a favorite broken tea cup, or for repairing loose weather stripping on your car); a polyurethane will be your best bet for other projects, both large and small.

Consider that you’re bonding two large pieces of wood. Or you need to repair a broken tile in your shower. Or you’re gluing a leather bowling ball to a belt, as is necessary sometimes. A polyurethane, (considered a structural adhesive) will forge a longer, stronger bond than a super glue. But, it will take longer to set, so it’s best used for projects that will allow for a longer work time. All the same, a polyurethane will be a better choice than epoxy, if you’re not inclined to mix multiple substances. (Don’t get us wrong, epoxies are strong, and excellent in their own right, but they will require that you mix Part A with Part B to achieve your desired bond.)

S.A.G in particular, is also unique in that it will adhere to both porous and non porous substrates (think fiberglass to wood). Moreover, S.A.G is paintable, sandable, and stainable making it a versatile adhesive for your many projects.
Oh, and did we mention that S.A.G is 100% waterproof? That means that neither rain, nor sleet, nor that wintry mix that the Northeast is so famous for, will weaken a S.A.G bond.

Any questions on specific projects? Email us at glue@stickyassglue.com and we’ll get right back to you with our advice.
Thanks again, for moseying on by…..

Starting With the Basics

Sticky Ass Glue Presents: Starting With the Basics
(What is a polyurethane glue anyway?)

Welcome to the first ever - in the history of humanity- Sticky Ass Glue blog entry. We’re glad you’re here. Our goal in creating this blog is to spread the good word of our little donkey buddy, by showing you how to make the most of DIY projects, woodworking, and crafting. We’ll be regularly updating this page with new tips, projects, and flat out cool news (as we see fit). A word to the wise though, if you’re not into creating, fixing, repairing, restoring, or basically contributing anything creative to the world; you’re not likely to enjoy this blog. But for the rest of you cool contributors, let’s start with the basics.

What is a polyurethane glue anyway?

Polyurethane glues are probably among the most versatile and strongest glues out there. As far as polyurethane glues go, Sticky Ass Glue is pretty sweet. S.A.G will bond porous substrates (read: materials) and non-porous substrates. To illustrate, S.A.G will bond fiberglass, wood, stone, pvc ,metal, ceramic, plastic, abs, brick, foams, styrofoam, cardboard, frp board, glass, tile, rubber, concrete, granite, travertine, dry wall and more.
S.A.G is also one of the strongest polyurethanes on the market, as evidenced by independent shear and peel tests. We know that seeing is believing, so check out the results on your own here: http://www.stickyassglue.com/pdfs/SAG_PeelTest.pdf and here: http://www.stickyassglue.com/pdfs/SAG_ShearTest.pdf .
Ok folks, since we’ve been told that blogs are supposed to be short; we’ll end our breakthrough blog now. But check back regularly as we dissect all that is wonderful and good about crafting, hobbies, woodworking, DIY projects, home repairs and naturally, glue.
Thanks for moseying on by.
Until next time,
The Glue Crew
